Autumn 1
We have had a such a busy half term back! It was so nice to have everyone back after the summer holidays. The children have settled in well and are following our rules and routines. In phonics we have been looking at different nursery rhymes, for each one we use out listening ears to identify different sounds and find the rhyming words. We have had lots of fun making our own self portrait collages. We looked in mirrors to see which what we would need for different parts of our face. In Maths we looked at shapes and what we could make with them, like a rocket. We named the different shapes. We started to look at different patterns with autumn items. We did lots of nursery rhymes with numbers, our favourite is 5 little speckled frogs. In PE we have been working on making lots of shapes and balances and learning to be safe when using the apparatus. We went on, over and under the different apparatus and finished in a champion pose. We also made some amazing artwork based on the artist of the month Frida Kahlo, we did real life paintings of pumpkins. Well done to our brilliant Nursery children you have done so well!
