Autumn 1

This term our blue class topic is Superheroes - all about ourselves.

In Science we enjoyed investigating the effects of exercise on our bodies.  We have designed posters to put in the cloakrooms about the importance of washing our hands.

In Maths we have  working on place value using practical apparatus such as tens and units and numicon.

In music we have listened to the music of Peter and the Wolf and looked at the various instruments that play each character in the story.  As part of P.E the Rugger Eds team have worked tennis skills and we have also worked on a Pirates theme in Dance.

In history we have studied a famous local person -  Florence Nightingale and been to visit the cenotaph at Whittington Moor as part of our work on the centenary of the end of World War One this November.

On BATs day we enjoyed designing and making pasta picture frames and self portraits.

These will be sprayed gold or silver and a calendar attached for 2018, to take home at the end of the year.
