Summer 2
This term our focus has been history and we have been looking at the history of the seaside. We explored the similarities and differences in the seaside now and in the past. The Reception children have been working on solving problems in maths. We have explored doubling, even and odd numbers and explored patterns. In Year 1 the children have been learning about time and money. The children had a lovely time on the Summer activities day. They made ice cream sundaes, played hook a duck, decorated a biscuit and played penalty shootout. The Reception children had a fantastic time on their trip to Cleethorpes seaside, they had so much fun building sandcastle, paddling in the sea and having a picnic on the beach. The Year 1 children loved their trip to Yorkshire Wildlife park and had a great time looking at all the animals and they even got the chance to hold some of the animals.
The children have been fantastic this term and we are so proud of the progress each and everyone of them has made. We hope you all have a brilliant Summer holiday and have lots of fun! We will see you in September in your new classes.
