We have had another busy half term in Autumn 2! As part of our learning of Understanding the World we investigated forces such as pull, push bend and stretch. In Maths we focused on matching numerals and quantities, subitising, describing patterns and exploring size. In phonics we continued to hear initial sounds and worked on our oral blending skills. We have enjoyed a variety of mark making activities and many of us are remembering to use our clever fingers when we hold our pencils. We celebrated Nursery Rhyme week along with listening to lots of stories. The children loved The Gruffalo and acted it out using character masks. We also raised money for Children in Need. Then to finish off the term the children enjoyed lots of Christmas activities such as visiting Santa, Christmas craft day, performing in the Wriggly Nativity and also seeing Rudolph's Christmas Cracker at the Rose Theatre.
Well done to all of our children for all of their hard work. We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and we will see you back at Nursery in January.
