We have had such a lovely, busy half term in Nursery!
In Maths we have learnt about 2D and 3D shapes, we have named the shapes and talked about the different parts of a shape. We even went on a shape hunt around the classroom to find the real life shapes! We also practiced writing numbers and finding different ways of writing a number, with dots and lines. In PE our unit this half term has been all about Dinosaurs. We learnt about prey and predator and how they might move in different ways. This then became a dance which we performed with a partner! It was a lot of fun! In Geography we talked about places that we have been that is away from, what is close to our school and how to take care of our home/classroom. We have enjoyed lots of stories such as Farmer Duck, Duck in a Truck and What the Ladybird Heard. We talked about the characters in the story,, explained what happened in each one, and discussed which story was our favourite. We acted out the story What the Ladybird Heard using masks, we all really enjoyed it! In art we have been drawing pictures of ourselves and families. Then we drew pictures from the stories that we have been reading. We made some amazing ladybird pictures!
