Autumn 1 - Marvellous Me
This term has been a very busy one and we have welcomed lots of new children into our setting. Our work this term has been Marvellous Me. We have been getting to know all about each other and taking part in lots of friendship games. We have been exploring all of the different resources in the Nursery and learning how to share and take turns.
We have created self-portraits in the style of Mr Men and Little Miss and learnt all about the different parts of the body with the Funny Bones story. We even took part in our very own skeleton dance and created our very own skeleton pictures.
This term we have introduced the chatterbox and each week a different child has taken the chatterbox home, filled it with their favourite toys and pictures of their families and then shared this at group time with the other children. This has helped to develop our language and communication skills as well as confidence when talking in front of others.
We were very lucky to have a special visitor is Nursery. A real life Knight! He helped us to learn about the golden rules and we looked at his shield and sword. It was very exciting.
