Autumn 2

This half term has again been quite challenging but throughout it all your children have been amazing. We have had an action packed half term reading lots of new books and learning new vocabulary. ‘Oi Dog!’ was a huge hit with the children enabling them to learn new rhymes and repeated phrases. Stick man was another firm favourite as the children created their own stick men, some of you even created some at home. In Maths we have once again embraced learning through the marvellous Number Blocks extending our learning to counting to 10 securely. The children loved playing with the newly created number blocks made by the very talented Miss Corbett’s Mum. We had budding artists painting and copying Van Gogh’s Starry Night and we created our own Starry night by lighting tea lights in nursery which the children loved. Construction has been a big focus as Outdoor Fridays have been on the yard this half term where the children have built different structures and assault courses. The children have loved the opportunity to be on bikes. Christmas is a fantastic time of year to be in school. We have had lots of fun on Christmas Jumper day we’ve also been making Christmas cards and singing lots of carols. As always thank you for your support this half term! Have a fantastic Christmas holiday and we look forward to welcoming you back in the New Year.
