Summer 2

Well I can't believe the school year is coming to an end and what a busy term it has been! We have been practicing our phonics so much we are amazing at them! We have even started to blend some sounds to make words. We looked at the life-cycle of a butterfly and a sunflower, we watched videos about how they change over time. We planted our very own sunflowers to take home and watch grow. We also made our very own mud pies, we found lots of different ingredients it was lots of fun! In PSHE we named different body parts, we also discussed what it is like going up to big school and how change can be scary. We discussed what we could do if we are feeling upset in the new class and what things will be the same and what will be exciting. In PE we practiced our ball skills, we learned to dribble the ball with control using our feet and moved it around the hall avoiding the obstacles and scoring goals! In math's we looked at capacity, we could say how full or empty a container was.

Our artist of the term was Banksy we got a stencil, paint and sponges to make our own pictures which looked amazing. Then of course we had our sports day. It was lovely to see all the adults  coming to support. We loved doing the egg and spoon race the most! Finally we had a petting zoo come to Nursery to visit us. We saw so many different animals it was a great experience. Thank you for a wonderful year! We hope you have a well deserved rest over the summer! See you in September.
