Spring 2
We have had another brilliant half term in Birch Class! In Literacy we focused on the following books; Pigs might fly, Perfectly Norman and If sharks disappeared. The children are really enjoying seeing Granny Fantastic and the fabulous words she helps us learn and use in our Literacy.
In Maths we have focused on the numbers 6,7,8 along with looking at long and short, doubling, one more and one less. In our understanding the world lessons, we have been learnt all about farming and the different jobs that are on a farm and the machines that are used now and in the past. We have also learnt about plants and animals. In RE we have learnt all about a range of different celebrations such as Diwali and Christmas. In Art we have learnt lots about different printing techniques and colour mixing. In Music we have focused on Musical Stories which has involved lots of performing and exploring percussion instruments
In PE we have focused on dancing, making up our own routines. The children have really enjoyed taking part in the dance unit and have enjoyed performing to their friends. We also had a taster session with Nikki from Tiny Toes Ballet which the children really enjoyed.
Finally towards the end of term we enjoyed our Easter egg hunt and our Easter egg roll competition.
